The RE/MAX Commission check
Case Study - The RE/MAX Commission check
Dave recently had a closing with a buyer. Total commission collected from the seller at closing was $18,120. RE/MAX IN TOWN was paid $9,060 and the listing agency was paid $9,060.00.
Here is a copy of Dave's commission check. = $8,511.40

The listing agents check resembled this = $4,377.00

Think about it, this agent paid the broker more than $4,600, that's a HUGE difference compared to Dave's check. This is also a huge difference compared to a typical RE/MAX agents monthly bill. The RE/MAX agent pays only 12 bills per year, the traditional agent will pay their broker a huge amount on EVERY Deal, on EVERY commission, a lot more than 12 times. How many times do you pay your broker in any given year? How much and what for?
This is what a RE/MAX Referral looks like:
Lorraine had a referral for a listing near in the shore area, she used the RE/MAX referral system to quickly find a good agent. Here is the 25% referral check for $1881.35, Lorraine's check is for $1763.30. At RE/MAX you get the referral fee of the full listing (or sale) commission no broker split.
